Day 6

Aug. 18, 2015

Today we found several dolphins scattered around the Virginia Beach area, including a few surprise ones.  We found 2 more of the 5 STIHL dolphins.  If you remember, we already found one at the Viking Dr. (Lynnhaven Pkwy.) location, but could not get to it very well because it was behind the gated compound.  Today, while driving around, we stumbled on 2 more at 2 different STIHL locations - one gated and one not.  The gated one we were not allowed access to see up close (I asked); the other we were able to see with no trouble.  Here are the ones we found today:

Today we found an unexpected dolphin while out seeing Krendl - love him!  This dolphin was on top of Doughboys California Pizza.

Today we found many of the Sandbridge area dolphins, though not all.  We will have to travel back another day to find more.  We also found 3 Outer Banks horses - 2 stallions and 1 foal.  Here are the dolphins and horses we found:

Today we found apx. 13 dolphins inside the Virginia Beach Convention Center.  We only took a picture with one of them since they are all the same - plain white dolphins.

Just one dolphin today, but a really cool one!  This one is shaped like an airplane since it is at the Military Aviation Museum in Pungo.

On our 1st day of the Great Virginia Beach Dolphin Quest, we found 3 dolphins.  The STIHL one was VERY hard to get to.  It is in a gated compound, but can be seen through a fence.  The only hitch is that it is on a busy street with no sidewalk on the side with the dolphin, so we had to take the picture from across the street and then zoom in.  I hear there are 4 others at STIHL, but since it is a gated entrance, we can't get in.  Here is what we did find:
